Running the Electronic Presentment example user interface

The Electronic Presentment feature provides an example user interface (separate from the Ricoh ProcessDirector user interface) that accesses data stored in the ElecPresRepository sample repository. The user interface is an example for demonstration purposes; it is not intended for production use. After you examine it, you can build your own user interface using Web services calls to access the data stored in a repository.

The example user interface is in this directory:

  • /opt/infoprint/ippd/ws/webapps/ep-demo (Linux and AIX)
  • C:\Program Files\Ricoh\ProcessDirector\ws\webapps\ep-demo (Windows)

Before you run the example user interface, run the ElectronicPresentmentSample workflow to store job and document data in the ElecPresRepository repository.

To run the example user interface:

  1. If Ricoh ProcessDirector was not stopped and restarted after you installed the Electronic Presentment feature, stop and restart Ricoh ProcessDirector now.

For more information about stopping and restarting, see the Ricoh ProcessDirector information center.

  2. Open a Web browser from any computer that you use to access Ricoh ProcessDirector and enter http://hostname:15080/ep-demo/ in the address bar, replacing hostname with the host name of the primary computer.
  3. Log in as any Ricoh ProcessDirector user who has Administrator or Supervisor group access.

You see the user interface for the Electronic Presentment demonstration.

    • To view a document, select it and click VIEW THE STATEMENT (Image).

      • To view the values of job and document properties stored with the document, click Properties.

The EPSampleHistory history record notification captures the times when a job in the ElectronicPresentmentSample workflow completes the PrintJobs step and the ToMailroom step.

    • To export the property values and history information to a comma-delimited file, select a document and click EXPORT TO CSV FILE (Image ).
