Additional Pre/Postprocessing Interface

One pre/postprocessing interface comes standard on each model. This feature provides the electrical interface for attachment of OEM pre- and postprocessing equipment. The Pre/Postprocessing interface feature provides control of add-on pre/postprocessing devices (such as continuous forms stackers, envelope inserting equipment, roll-feed equipment, and others). Additionally, this feature disables the standard stacker functions.

One pre/postprocessing interface comes standard on each engine. In the Infoprint 4100 models HS1, HS2, PS1, HD1, HD3, and PD1 and the Infoprint 4000 models IS1, IS2, ID3, and ID5 up to two pre/post processing interfaces, (in addition to the standard pre/post processing interface) may be ordered, or a combination of one additional pre/postprocessing interfaces, and one advanced function post processing interface, may be ordered.

In the Infoprint 4100 models HD2, HD4, and PD2 and Infoprint 4000 models ID2, ID4, and ID6 one pre/post processing interface, (in addition to the standard pre/post processing interface) may be ordered. The need for one or more of these feature codes is totally dependent on the postprocessing equipment being used with the printer. Coordination with the selected postprocessing vendor is recommended when planning for the appropriate features.

Postprocessing equipment is required when printing forms longer than 17 inches (432 mm).

Note:
You will lose one slot if the Forms Identification (Barcode) feature is installed.

See Preprocessing and Postprocessing Device Interfaces for more information.
