This section describes the characteristics of the Transform Features.

The Transform Features:

Support these data and raster image transforms to AFP:
- HP Printer Control Language (PCL) at PCL6
- Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF) Version 1.7 or earlier
- Adobe PostScript® (PS) Language Level 3
- Graphics Interchange Format (GIF)
- Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG)
- Systems Applications and Products (SAP OTF and ABAP)
- Tagged Image File Format (TIFF)
PDF and PS transform requests are processed as groups of pages. GIF, JPEG, and TIFF transform requests are handled in parallel on a job basis.
Support the transform of AFP data to PDF data.
Improve transform performance of large PDF jobs.
Provides remote transform processing.
Require that input TIFF files must be less than 2 gigabytes. That is, the tiff2afp transform does not support input files larger than 2 gigabytes.
Include the gif2afp, jpeg2afp, pcl2afp, pdf2afp, and ps2afp configuration files that have been modified to support files larger than 2 gigabytes.
Are printer-independent.
