Switching from dual simplex to duplex mode

  1. Select Stop on the touchscreen to stop the printer.
  2. Select Printer Definition -> Printer -> Basic.
  3. Select Duplex for Printer Mode.
  4. Select OK.
  5. Restart Printer 1 when the prompt appears.
    Note:
    The changes you have made won't take effect until you have restarted the printer. If you make other configuration changes they only apply to the mode you were in before you changed.
  6. Shutdown Printer 2. When the printer restarts you will be in duplex mode.
  7. To remove any forms still in the printer, see Clearing the forms path.
  8. Load paper and load Snapshots in both printers for duplex operation (see Loading forms--auto load (duplex mode) and Snapshots).
  9. Perform the procedure Aligning tractored forms.
  10. Select Start.
    CAUTION:
    <85>For printers with microcode levels, version 11.6.128 and higher, both printers and attached pre and postprocessing equipment can be started from the main panel of the printer console and the printer operator panels. Visually assure that no other personnel are working on the system before starting the system.
