Configuring pre/postprocessors

To enable or disable preprocessors and postprocessors see Enabling and disabling pre/postprocessors.

To view settings, select Printer Definition -> Pre/postprocessing.

To change settings:

  1. Select Stop to stop the printer.
  2. Select Printer Definition -> Pre/postprocessing.
  3. Disable the pre/postprocessor.
  4. Select Edit to change any configuration settings.
  5. When you have made all the changes, select OK.
  6. Restart the printer, if instructions to do so are given after selecting OK.
    Note:
    If you have other configuration changes to make, you can make them before you restart the system.
  7. Enable the pre/postprocessor and then select Start.
    CAUTION:
    <85>For printers with microcode levels, version 11.6.128 and higher, both printers and attached pre and postprocessing equipment can be started from the main panel of the printer console and the printer operator panels. Visually assure that no other personnel are working on the system before starting the system.
Note:
When the internal stacker is enabled on the Infoprint 4100 Models HS2 in simplex mode or the HD3/4 in dual simplex mode, the printer speed must be set to low. Select Printer Definition->Printer->Basic and select Low for Printer Speed.
