Problem resolution

In addition to the usual error messages that can appear when you load forms, the following three messages are directly related to pre-printed barcode forms:

Form barcode sensor not ready D72E
Form barcode mismatch D72F
Form barcode not found D730

Table 16 gives the possible causes and the actions you should take to correct the problem.

Form barcode sensor not ready D72E
  • Form barcode is not enabled. 
  • Form barcode sensor is not installed.
  • Follow the instructions in the error message. 
  • Load a form that does not have a pre-printed bar code or call your service representative.
Form barcode mismatch D72F The pre-printed barcode does not match the defined barcode. Verify that you loaded the correct form. Follow the instructions in the error message.
Form barcode not found D730
  • The barcode sensor was not able to read the barcode on the edge of the forms.
  • The form did not have a pre-printed barcode.
  • Follow the instructions in the error message. 
  • Verify that you loaded the correct form.

Disabling Form Barcode Checking

If, for some reason, the correct form is loaded but the pre-printed barcode is damaged, printed incorrectly, or is not readable, or if the barcode sensor is not working, you can bypass the printer-generated errors by doing the following:

  1. Ensure that the printer is in Not Ready status.
  2. Ensure that you have the correct Snapshot loaded.
  3. Select Forms -> Form Settings.
  4. Change the current value in the Form Barcode field to 0000.
  5. Select OK to accept the new value.
